Digital Pursuit were in attendance at the latest PHP London meetup, on April 2nd, at Doggetts Coat and Badge
We met a variety of our existing, and new clients, for drinks, food, networking and hear a talk from other members of the group.
At 8pm - Toby Powell-Blyth, from Mr and Mrs Smith, spoke about the Symfony Stack!
After spending a childhood glued to an Atari 400, Toby Powell-Blyth read CompSci at Aberystwyth University and jumped straight into writing classic ASP. He soon discovered PHP3, then PHP4, and has never looked back. An illustrious cavalcade of projects followed, from websites about steam pumps, to print management solutions and managing a team that built sites such as Links of London, Matches Fashion and Blue Inc.
Having learned from all his mistakes, Toby is Technical Director at Mr & Mrs Smith, where he built the amazing development team and architected the REST-like API / Symfony stack and internal sales tools, which are hammered by British Airways Holidays, American Express and Dial-a-flight.
